Our outlook for SI and engagement themes for 2022

Join the webinar with Masja Zandbergen and Peter van der Werf on 13 January

Higher demand for sustainable investing strategies is set to continue in 2022 as the world works towards net zero emissions. Stricter rules such as the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation will put greater emphasis on whether SI funds are as sustainable as they claim. And society is demanding more action on climate, biodiversity and human rights as we emerge from Covid-19.

In our latest webinar, Masja Zandbergen, Head of Sustainability Integration, will discuss the outlook for 2022 as clients increasingly look for sustainable and thematic funds, along with impact investing strategies. Peter van der Werf, Senior Manager Engagement, will then outline the Active Ownership team’s four new engagement themes for 2022: ‘Net zero emissions’; ‘Natural resource management: water and waste’; ‘Diversity, equality and inclusion’; and ‘Nature Action 100’.

At the end of the session, we will have covered:

•  How a mix of client demand, societal expectations and regulation bodes well

•   Why engagement can be effective in improving corporate sustainability

•   The greater importance placed on ‘net zero’ by investors and the wider world

The live webinar will take place on Thursday 13 January at 16:00 CET.
