What's the Worst that Could Happen?

Although analysts missed the pandemic, it should be noted that a pandemic forecast would not have been unreasonable. Natural disasters occur with some regularity including, but not limited to, volcanic eruptions, solar flares and earthquakes. History suggests we may have one of these disasters or a pandemic roughly every nine years. What we cannot know is how much damage they will cause when they happen.
